The Kumho FIA TCR world Tour begins its South American leg this weekend at Interlagos' Autódromo José Carlos Pace, sharing the grid with TCR South America and TCR Brasil, which makes an impressive field of 28 cars.
Entry list
Although the Lynk & Co Cyan Racing cars have won the last four races at Marrakech and Mid-Ohio, Norbert Michelisz is still leading the standings in his BRC Squadra Corse Hyundai Elantra N. Consistency helped the Hungarian to build a 22-point lead over Yann Ehrlacher, the only driver so far who has won twice. Two points behind the Frenchman is Michelisz's teammate Mikel Azcona, while Esteban Guerrieri (GOAT Racing, Honda Civic FL5) lies fourth, five further points adrift.
BRC Hyundai leads in the Teams' championship as well, twenty points clear of Cyan Racing.
On top of TCR South America there is a quartet of drivers covered by 14 points. Juan Ángel Rosso (Paladini Racing, Toyota Corolla) leads on 130 points from Pedro Cardoso (PMO Racing, Peugeot 306) 125 points, Raphael Reis (W2 Pro GP, CUPRA Leon VZ) 121 points and Leonel Pernía (PMO Racing, Peugeot 306) 116 points.
TCR Brasil's standings are even tighter with five drivers within nine points. Reis 182, Cardoso 181, Galid Osman (W2 Pro GP, CUPRA Leon VZ) 177, Matías Rossi (Toyota Team Argentina, Toyota Corolla) 175 and Rosso 173.
