Former WTCC and WTCR race winner Esteban Guerrieri will join the Kumho TCR World Tour & TCR South America joint events in El Pinar and La Pedrera.
The Argentine driver will be at the wheel of a Toyota Corolla GRS entered by the newly established team Bratton Tito Bessone, directed by local Touring Car legend Ernesto ‘Tito’ Bessone.
The team will then name another driver for the TCR South America and TCR Brazil last race meetings of the season.
“I’m very happy that this project has been realised. This is a big effort from all the parties involved and it’s great that we have managed to attract a driver of international experience like Guerrieri. We don’t have much time to get ready, but we will manage to shake down the car a few days before El Pinar at the Mercedes circuit in Uruguay,” Bessone explained.
Guerrieri echoed: “I am excited to join the two events in Uruguay and Argentina, it’s a great challenge! It’s been a few months since I have raced in a TCR car, but I have enough experience in the category. I’m very much looking forward to race against the TCR World Tour drivers at the wheel of a brand new car and I thank Diego Gutierrez and Tito Bessone for having put this programme together.”
