When the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour and TCR China will race together at the Zhuzhou International Circuit, Norbert Michelisz and Jason Zhang Zhi Qiang will be committed to defend their leadership in the respective championships.
On top of the World Tour standings, Michelisz (BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse, Hyundai Elantra N) has built a 25-point lead over Esteban Guerrieri (GOAT Racing, Honda Civic FL5), while Thed Björk (Cyan Racing, Lynk & Co 03 FL) lies third only four further points adrift. The charging pair of Guerrieri and Björk have collected an impressive string of results over the three events in the American continent, which propelled them ahead of Björk's teammate Yann Ehrlacher and Michelisz's teammate Mikel Azcona who are tied with gaps of 43 points.
The three-way fight for TCR China title involves the same car manufacturers and sees Zhang (Teamwork Motorsport, Lynk & Co 03) leading on 277 points, only six ahead of the reigning champion Martin Cao Hong Wei (Hyundai N, Elantra) and twelve over Martin Xie Xin Zhe (MacPro Racing, Honda FL5).
In the same weekend, the TCR China Challenge comes to an end with two separate races. Three drivers are in contention for the title: Pan Yi Ming (NKODA HW Racing, Audi RS 3 LMS) on 295 points, Richard Li Guang Hua (Teamwork Motorsport, Lynk & Co 03) on 284 and Liu Zi Chen (326 Racing Team, Audi) on 254.
