Norbert Michelisz was officially crowned the 2024 champion of the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour during the FIA Prize Giving Gala in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city.
Michelisz received the Drivers’ trophy from the hands of the FIA President Mohamed Ben Sulayem who was joined on the stage by Tim Shearman, FIA Deputy President for Mobility.
“It’s a great pride and a huge honour to be invited to the FIA Prize Giving ceremony to receive the Trophy from the very hands of the President, especially because this comes at the end of a tough season. It means quite a lot to me, and it is great to be given the opportunity to come to Rwanda. I have some time to go around and see some amazing parts of Africa I have never been to before,” Michelisz said.
