Fréderic Vervisch and Néstor Girolami who had finished Bathurst’s Race 2 in fifth and sixth positions respectively, were both given five-second penalties for unfair sporting behaviour and so they dropped to seventh and ninth.
This changed the Kumho TCR World Tour standings, as Yann Ehrlacher moved up two places from seventh to fifth, scoring four more points and closing in on the leaders: 11 points behind Norbert Michelisz and eight behind Rob Huff.
Teddy Clairet was also excluded because his Peugeot 308 was underweight.
