Esteban Guerrieri, 1st
“It was a good one. We needed to score big, and we knew this was our opportunity as those that are leading the championship have kilos. I had a good start, which was key, and then I managed to contain Santi for the first few laps, and after that I just managed the tyres. A big thanks to the team because we’re a small team, but with a lot of passion and dedication.”
Santiago Urrutia, 2nd
“It was a good race. I had a poor start, but I’m happy. I didn’t have the speed to win as the Honda was very quick on the straights - so now we’ll focus on Race 2.”
Marco Butti, 3rd
“I finished third after I had a really good start and after that I managed the tyres and tried to finish without making any mistakes. I’m super-happy for my team and my teammate Esteban who took really good points for the championship.”
Rafael Suzuki, 1st TCR South America/Brasil
“I was fighting with some World Tour guys like Dušan and Bebu, and I wished I could have fought a little bit more, but I have to score points for the team. I was able to keep my first position in TCR South America, and hopefully in Race 2 I can have a little bit more fun with the World Tour guys.”
