Rob Huff will make his Kumho FIA TCR World Tour return for the final two events of the 2024 season, driving an Audi RS 3 LMS for Volcano Motorsport, as he chases his 12th victory at Macau’s iconic Guia circuit.
The 44-year-old will be reunited with the car in which he was in contention for the 2023 title up until the final event at Macau, and with a new team for him, driving for Volcano Motorsport, the 2021 TCR Europe series champions, who’ve stepped up to the TCR World Tour this year.
Huff is known for his impressive record around the Macau street circuit, with his 11 victories since 2008 across the Guia Race and Macau Touring Car Cup unmatched by any other competitor in any other category.
The British driver will first join the grid at the upcoming meeting at the Zhuzhou International Circuit, the first ever Chinese round of the TCR World Tour, in preparation for his Macau return.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be going back to Macau, and I’m also excited to see what we can do at Zhuzhou racing with TCR China, a series I also know very well. It’s good to be back in the TCR World Tour and especially now that it’s an FIA category. I know some of the team at Volcano Motorsport as they worked with me last year, and of course I know the car, having helped develop it. I’ve not raced in TCR for ten months, so going to Zhuzhou will be good preparation for Macau. The goal is clear, we’re looking for win No. 12, and I’m delighted to be finishing the year at one of my favourite places in the world,” Huff said.
