Ten Years of TCR – Did you know?

Bernie Ecclestone was instrumental in allowing TCR International Series racing in three Formula One Grands Prix during the 2015 season: Malaysia, China and Singapore.

Two weeks before Sepang, as rumours within the motorsport community had cast doubts on TCR’s actual start, Marcello Lotti received a phone call from him.

BE – Hi Marcello, do you have enough cars?
ML – Yes Bernie, 16 are on their way
BE – Good! See you there

The partnership with Formula One continued in 2016, when the TCR International Series was staged in Bahrain and again in Singapore.
