The 2025 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour will be composed of twenty rounds over eight events, as three races will be held in Mexico, Spain, Australia and South Korea.
The FIA World Motor Sport Council has approved the four different formats to be adopted by the series, although Format 2 that was applied for the 2024 events in Brazil and Uruguay will not be in use this year.
Format 1 – Italy, Portugal, China
Free practice: 2 x 30 minutes
Qualifying: Q1 (20 min.) + Q2 (10 min.)
Portugal: Q1 (30 min.) + Q2 (15 min.)
Races: 2 x 60 kms
Format 2 – not in use
Free practice: 2 x 30 minutes
Qualifying: Q1 (20 min.) + Q2 (10 min.)
Race 1: 25 minutes + 1 lap
Race 2: 30 minutes + 1 lap
Format 3 – Mexico, Spain, Australia, Korea
Free practice: 2 x 30 minutes
Qualifying: Q1 (20 min.) + Q2 (10 min.)
Races: 3 x 30 minutes + 1 lap
Format 4 – Macau
Free practice: 2 x 30 minutes
Qualifying: Q1 (30 min.) + Q2 (15 min.)
Races: 2 x 60 kms
While the grid for Race 2 will still be determined by qualifying final results with the top ten positions reversed, the grid for Race 3 (in Format 3) will be based on the total points scored in Qualifying, Race 1 and Race 2.
